Tire Uniformity and Balance
Testing - Integration at Last!
Nakata Engineering has developed one for tire uniformity and balance
testing and all the required tire identification needed for OE and
replacement customers.
Tire presorting is dramatically reduced since this test unit can accommodate
three different bead diameters and nine different tire bead widths
without changing the test rim.
The machine was jointly developed with the Kokusai Company of Japan and will be jointly marketed by both companies.
In introducing this equipment to the tire manufacturers, Nakata
Engineering President, Nobuyoshi Okajima, said: "Tire validation
is a key element in the overall tire manufacturing process. With
our new machine, we can now offer customers a totally integrated
unit, which can provide significant cost and space savings compared
to the traditional two-stage system of separate uniformity and balance
testing. Combining the uniformity expertise of Nakata Engineering
with the balance technology of Kokusai has made this development
possible".
