Nakata Engineering Extruder Interface Technology

Nakata Engineering has vast experience not only with extruders themselves, but also with interfacing the extruder with other Nakata equipment to produce integrated lines, such as:

  • Twin Screw Roller Head Extruders (Under Banbury)
  • Roller Head Extruders
  • Sleeve Exchange Roller Head Extruders
  • Mini Roller Head Extruders
  • Bead Manufacturing Lines
  • Bead Filler and Flippering Machines
  • Jointless Bandage Tape Production Systems
  • Tread Skivers
  • Tread Auto Booking Systems

JLB Systems and Bead Making Equipment
JLB PRODUCTION SYSTEM

Click the button for a video
about our JLB System.

The JLB System produces rubberized jointless bandage tape of Nylon, Rayon, Kevlar, or steel to be used on top of the breakers for high performance tires.

The compact, cost-effective system provides greater flexibility when changing compounds and cord materials compared to full width fabric topping systems.

Max. width is 40 mm. which can be split into four strands, if required, without cutting cords. Max. Line speed is 70 M/min. Suitable for up to 8,000 tires per day.

NON-GRIP BEAD WINDING LINE

Click the button for a video about our Non-Grip Bead Winding Line.

Nakata can manufacture a complete non-grip bead winding line consisting of:

  1. Let off stand
  2. Wire pre-heater
  3. Rubber extruder
  4. Pull roll (cooling drum)
  5. Accumulator
  6. Non-grip bead winder
  7. Bead stacker
  8. Electrical control system

The equipment pulls the required number of wires from the creel package and, after being heated, the wires are covered with rubber by the extruder. The wires are then cooled and formed to the specified size by a winder.

Advantages of Nakata Non-Grip Bead Winder

  • A series of magnets secure the bead tape to the drum, ensuring high speed production of distortion-free beads at the bead winding start.
  • Bead adhesion properties can be increased, yet still be easily removed from the drum.
  • Improved bead integrity, giving improved uniformity.
  • Can eliminate bead wrapping due to no clamp distortion and increased tackiness.
  • Improved safety in handling.
  • Allows dual winding of different bead sizes.
  • Change-over time for size - one minute.
  • Provides high productivity - 2 seconds per bead (with dual winder).

SINGLE WIRE BEAD LINE

Click the button for a video about our Single Wire Bead Line.

Nakata can manufacture a complete single wire bead line consisting of:

  1. Let off stand
  2. Wire pre-heater
  3. Rubber extruder
  4. Pull roll (cooling drum)
  5. Accumulator
  6. Single wire bead winder
  7. Bead take off unit
  8. Electrical control system

This equipment is designed for forming hexagonal or square bead wires for passenger, truck and bus tires. It can produce regular hexagonal beads and hexagonal beads with a 15Ü taper.

Advantages of Nakata Single Wire Bead Line

  • Much stronger bead (burst strength) eliminates the weak hinge point of a traditional taped base.
  • Eliminates the need for wrapping the wire start and finish.
  • All operations are automatic once the control panel is set up.
