| The heavy duty clamping system developed
by Nakata for high extrusion pressures uses a unique, strong head
clamp, wedge lock and large hydraulic cylinder. (Maximum operating
head pressure - 250 Kg./Sq. Cm.) |
|
Great care was taken to maximize and optimize the
water jacket to achieve a constant temperature throughout the head.
This gives a stable and accurate condition for the extruded component,
which is critical to tire uniformity. |

Nakata extruders feature an improved feed roll assembly
to prevent rubber leakage, ensure longer life and provide stable
feeding of the slab.
These benefits are achieved through a reliable, simple design that
incorporates large, outboard mounted, heavy duty, bearings, self
return guide, replaceable end rings, and water cooling of the feed
roll. |
|
The Nakata extruder is designed so the
final die change can be made in one minute.
The upper tool clamping system can be stopped at a set intermediate
position, enabling the final die to be changed with the pre-former
still clamped, preventing rubber leakage between the head and the
tool. |
